Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. is seeking a Process Safety Management Coordinator to join our on-site team in Philadelphia, PA. You will lead the MOC process, coordinate PHAs, and drive compliance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulations while supporting audits and incident investigations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Process Safety Management within a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations
  • Proven ability to lead risk assessments and hazard analysis initiatives
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and process flow diagrams
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring proper documentation and risk evaluation
  • Coordinate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and track action items through completion
  • Ensure PSM program compliance and maintain audit readiness at all times
  • Support and lead internal and external safety audits, resolving findings promptly
  • Develop, maintain, and improve PSM documentation, procedures, and training materials
  • Conduct employee training sessions on process safety practices and program updates
  • Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Oversee Mechanical Integrity programs to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for new and modified equipment
