Job summary

Sugar Creek Packing Co. is seeking a Process Safety Management professional to develop, implement, evaluate and maintain PSM and related safety programs for its 24/7 operations in Cambridge City, IN.

The role requires coordinating regulatory reporting, incident investigations and training initiatives to reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance. The candidate should bring three years of PSM experience, OSHA safety course familiarity, and preference for CIRO/CARO credentials, within a food

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Process Safety Management.
• OSHA 10 and 30 Safety Courses preferred.
• Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) and/or Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in food processing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PSM program for 24/7 operations and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate documentation and reporting to EPA, OSHA, KDHE and local authorities (EMA, LEPC, Fire Department).
• Coordinate and manage Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements and compliance initiatives.
• Lead incident investigations to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate PHA, MOC and PSSR analyses and maintain required documentation.
• Inspect facility for hazards and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Develop and communicate safety practices for company personnel.
• Act as consultant to other departments to reduce risk exposure.
• Co-develop training programs with Safety Team to enhance existing programs.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to establish environmental programs.
• Monitor and update Emergency Action Plan and assist with training.
• Coordinate hazardous materials response team training and liaison with response agencies.
• Provide timely reports to management and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure findings from audits and investigations are closed timely.
