Job summary

Woodside Energy USA is offering a Process Safety Summer Internship to build a pipeline of future process safety and engineering talent. Interns will join project-based work focused on identifying, assessing, and managing risks across energy operations and projects.

Interns gain hands-on exposure to HAZOP, LOPA, bowtie analysis, risk registers and safety reviews while working with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or process safety field.
• Rising junior or senior with expected graduation Spring 2028–Spring 2029.
• Enrolled for full duration of 2027 internship.
• Minimum GPA 3.30.
• Available for 12 consecutive weeks Summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Agree to pre-employment screening and email communications.
• Agree not to use AI tools during application/interview.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying, assessing and managing risks across energy operations.
• Support process hazard analysis, hazard identification, and risk assessment activities.
• Contribute to barrier management, change management and safety information tasks.
• Participate in incident investigation and emergency response planning.
