If you are passionate about contributing to a cleaner, sustainable world, here’s more about the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Global Process Chemistry in meetings to ensure process safety requirements are integrated from a regional perspective while maintaining global standards.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives by exploring operational strategies like in-house production versus tolling.
  • Assist regional tolling technology transfer by providing SOPs, conducting audits, and supporting qualification trials to ensure safe operations and quality products.
  • Collaborate with engineering during the design and commissioning of new projects at Veolia CMS plants.
  • Assemble process safety information such as P&IDs, equipment data, and process parameters for hazard analyses.
  • Implement internal standards for hazardous processes, including handling flammable materials and neutralization reactions.
  • Maintain and improve the company’s process safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, EU, and local regulations.
  • Promote continuous improvement through digitization and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to foster a safety-first culture in the chemical industry environment.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 30, OSHA, EPA, and Seveso regulations.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of risks associated with blend plants, especially flammable chemicals and acids.
  • Experience with PHA and PRA methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with WinCC or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Brilliant fulfillment.
