Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an OH&S postgraduate with process safety experience.
• 10+ years of process safety engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial processing.
• Strong knowledge of process safety management principles, industry standards, and regulations.
• Experience facilitating risk assessments such as HAZOP and LOPA.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and change-management capabilities.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, safety-first culture.

Responsibilities

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health & Safety with significant process safety experience.
• 10+ years of process safety engineering experience within a chemical manufacturing or industrial processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of process safety management principles, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
• Experience facilitating risk assessments such as HAZOP and LOPA.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to gain buy-in across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and change management capabilities.

What We Offer

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary range for this position is $110,900 to $150,000 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. At Nufarm, we believe in total compensation. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for additional forms of compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, financial, and other wellbeing benefits.
