Job Description
  • Develop and maintain both a technical and operational knowledge of cell and virus growth in small-scale vessels and bioreactors.
  • Develop expertise in bioreactor setup, operation, maintenance of probes, and culture monitoring technologies.
  • Produce active ingredients for incorporation in studies in well controlled, well defined manner.
  • Apply understanding of cell substrates, recombinant vector systems and biotechnology to process development studies. Cross-train in other applicable process development areas to support the project.
  • Conduct standard laboratory studies under minimal supervision according to protocols.
  • Conduct complex equipment setup and operation according to operating procedures under GxP guidelines.
  • Record data from studies into laboratory notebooks and data capture forms.
  • Compile data for analysis required for research reports, SOPs, presentations, etc. Maintain inventories, laboratory supplies and parts list for critical equipment. Support validation and qualification studies for laboratory equipment.
  • Train on new equipment or technologies relative to the project.
  • Perform scientific literature searches as assigned. Maintain a constructive, positive and team approach.
