Job summary

DuPont Water Solutions is seeking a Process R&D Laboratory Technologist at the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware. You will synthesize, functionalize, and evaluate polymer materials to support new products and manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze data, maintain procedures, and uphold safety standards while delivering high-quality solutions for customers across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years in an industrial lab environment with demonstrated prioritization.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize, functionalize, and evaluate polymer materials to support new products and manufacturing processes.
• Apply ion exchange resin technology to address processing, separation, and purification challenges.
• Perform laboratory testing and characterization of polymer and aqueous systems to guide technical decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of scientists and engineers to achieve project objectives and business goals.
• Analyze experimental results and communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to technical teams and management.
• Manage laboratory operations, including ownership of process and analytical equipment, maintenance of procedures, and documentation.
• Champion a strong safety culture by adhering to laboratory safety standards and promoting safe work practices.
