Re:Build Manufacturing – New Kensington is seeking a Process Quality Engineer to advance quality systems across battery, machining and electronics assembly. You will apply APQP, PFMEA, and PPAP to reduce non-conformances and drive data-driven improvement.

A relevant engineering degree or ASQ CE with 5+ years in manufacturing quality is required. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, root-cause analysis, and continual improvement with readiness to travel up to 25% to support

Qualifications

  • ASQ CE or engineering degree with 5+ years in manufacturing quality.
  • Experience in battery production, machining, and electronic assembly is a plus.
  • Strong facilitation, problem solving, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional teams and drive non-conformance reduction through data analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in APQP quality planning, developing control plans, inspection plans, PPAP, FAIR, and FMEA/PFMEA activities.
  • Be a champion of continual improvement, help lead MRB and Root Cause Corrective Actions.
  • Work with customers, suppliers, and the manufacturing group to validate that product quality requirements are met.
  • Mentor and train as needed.
  • Perform audits (internal document, part, process, product, supplier, customer, and other).

They assist in the development and operation of quality control systems, and the application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures. They use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices. They understand human factors and motivation, familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques, and the knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems.
