Job summary

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline; 5 years' experience preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience, or equivalent combination.
  • High proficiency with Excel pivot tables.

Responsibilities

  • Study engineering prints, drawings, models, and specs to obtain data on proposed part.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Determine tool requirements and sequence of operations to manufacture parts.
  • Estimate operation times and routing; indicate machines, tools and fixtures used.
  • Observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Confer with personnel to implement operation procedures and resolve malfunctions.
  • Analyze work study data to establish time and production standards.
  • Apply industrial engineering principles to evaluate methods and costs.
