Job Description: Stevia Plant Operator

Starting pay: $26/hr

All employees are responsible for:

1. Compliance with procedures that implement the requirements of the EHSQS policies and procedures.
2. Being responsible for their own actions.
3. Carrying out their work in a manner which does not present a risk to themselves, others, and the environment.
4. Reporting all incidents, defects, hazards, and inadequacies of procedures for review and corrective action.

Main accountabilities

1. Prioritize safety and Food Safety above all in the workplace.
2. Operate process equipment to produce natural high-intensity sweetener products based on natural ingredients.
3. Learn unit operations including material handling, reactions, filtration systems, spray drying, and packaging.
4. Participate in EHSQS audits, OSHA compliance audits, and safety communications.
5. Maintain records for each production run (run sheets, HACCP forms, sanitation forms, etc.).
6. Sample and perform analytical tests as needed.
7. Monitor production runs diligently and report deviations or trends.
8. Troubleshoot equipment problems and relay information to relevant personnel.
9. Review safety and operating procedures, Job Risk Analyses, Pre-Startup Inspections, and work permits.

Physical Requirements

The position involves climbing stairs/ladders, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, sitting, and standing for 12-hour shifts.
