The Process Operator I, Liquids - Woodlawn is responsible for preparing blended flavor batch formulations with liquid and powder ingredients, operating machinery efficiently and safely, and adhering to all safety and food standards. The role involves interaction with Quality, Production, Management, Maintenance, Rabbis for Kosher approval, and auditors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain adherence to SOPs, GMP standards, food & flavor regulations (including kosher), and documentation requirements.
• Follow safety protocols, including PPE use, to ensure a safe workplace.
• Accurately weigh and document ingredients for batches.
• Prepare flavor formulations with liquid and powder ingredients.
• Operate equipment per manufacturing instructions to produce high-quality products efficiently.
• Use computer programs to maintain process and material data.
• Store ingredients and packaging properly, ensuring correct lot numbers and FIFO rotation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Clean and organize workspaces to maintain operational efficiency.
• Participate in training sessions on safety, quality, and equipment operation.
• Complete daily/weekly checklists for equipment and utilities.
• Support and guide other operators, seeking management or technical assistance when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience with liquid compounding, powder blending, and spray drying preferred.
• Experience with Forklift, SAP, FlexNet, Microsoft, RF Scanner preferred.
• Experience in the flavor industry is a plus.
• Computer literate.
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and self-motivation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, bending, and twisting.
