Qualifications

• Requires minimum two (2) years applicable experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Prefer two-year degree in Process Technology.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant process equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move control settings to adjust speeds of reactions, quality, and yields.
• Monitor instruments and indicators to verify process conditions.
• Control or operate chemical processes with panel boards or semi-automatic equipment.
• Record operating data and instrument readings.
• Coordinate with technical staff to report safety and efficiency issues.
• Draw samples and conduct quality control tests to ensure standards are met.
• Start pumps to wash reactors and manage flow of materials.
