Job Description

WHO WE ARE

We are a company where people matter.

We are family driven.

We are financially strong.

And we are looking for problem-solvers to join our growing team.

OPPORTUNITY

As a new process operator in the first year of the Operations Management Rotational Program (OMRP), you'll receive hands-on experience on the manufacturing floor. This 9–12-month rotation focuses on learning the daily operations of a chemical plant—from understanding equipment and processes to following strict safety protocols. You'll work alongside experienced operators, supervisors, and engineers, developing technical skills and understanding what it takes to keep production running smoothly.

During this rotation, you'll also be introduced to continuous improvement practices, basic troubleshooting, and the importance of teamwork in a fast-paced environment. It offers a balance of learning, mentorship, and increasing responsibilities. This experience prepares you for future rotations in areas like supply chain, EHS, and leadership roles.

Process Operator Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily and weekly inspection check sheets as assigned.
  • Maintain vessel batch logs, reports, manifests, and check sheets.
  • Operate processes by adjusting variables such as temperature, pressure, and feed rate according to SOPs; notify supervisors of deviations.
  • Record information like ingredients, weights, and temperature, and input data into the database.
  • Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in production.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Monitor machinery, including flow meters and dials, to ensure proper operation.
  • Respond to alarms and warnings, taking necessary precautions.
  • Operate manual and semi-automatic machinery using controls and input devices.
  • Collect chemical samples and perform tests to ensure proper process progression.
  • In emergencies, shut down machines and follow supervisory instructions promptly.
  • Perform auxiliary tasks such as tank transfers, loading/unloading trucks, sampling, and more.

Program Career Path and Rotations: 3-4 total (approx.)

  1. Rotation 1 – up to 12 months: Foundational rotation as a Process Operator, learning manufacturing processes.
  2. Rotation 2 – 6-9 months: Elective rotation in areas like Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, or EHS.
  3. Rotation 3 – 6-9 months: Another elective in a different functional area.
  4. Rotation 4 – up to 12 months: Leadership development role, such as Supervisor or Process Manager.

Experience:

  • Degrees in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, or Business. Completion of related co-op or internship preferred.
