Siemens Energy is hiring for a CNC Operator in a climate-controlled factory in North Carolina. You will set up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment, including machining, welding, laser, and coating processes, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years in CNC operations, the ability to interpret detailed drawings, and possession or rapid attainment of a forklift/crane license. Strong shop math and QA discipline are essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years in CNC operations, including machining, welding, laser applications and coating machines.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings/blueprints and determine necessary tools.
• Must hold or be able to obtain forklift/crane license immediately on selection.
• Career Readiness/Work Keys Silver status.
• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate CNC machinery and related equipment.

• Interpret drawings/sketches, blueprints, and specifications to select tools and operations.
• Load/unload parts using material handling devices and assist crane operator as needed.

Currently we are hiring in multiple product line manufacturing operations including – Steam Turbine, Large Generator, Gas Turbine and Combustion Components in a climate-controlled factory.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Set-up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment using CNC controls for multiple operations on transitions, to include but not limited to machining, bonding, welding, manual machining and hand tools, etc.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Embrace Safety & Quality Culture.
• Required to lift / move 50lbs of materials
• Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and determine necessary tools to perform required machining operations
• Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.
• Follows Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.

What You Bring

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CNC operations, specifically in the following areas:
• Machining
• Welding
• Laser applications
• Coating machines (specific experience preferred)
• Required Certifications:
• Fork truck/crane license (Active or ability to acquire it immediately on selection)
• Career Readiness / Work Keys Certificate – Silver Status.
• Skills: Proficient in CNC operation, loading/unloading workpieces, adhering to QA protocols, performing complex metrology, and interpreting complex drawings; strong shop math skills
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Process Operator Proficiency Test.

Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required to perform the duties.
