Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense seeks a detail-oriented production operator to support the assembly and packaging of chemical-based products. You will weigh, measure and inspect materials, maintain batch records and follow SOPs to ensure quality.

Work in a safe, organized environment on a Monday–Friday schedule, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and learn new manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Experience in an assembly or production environment preferred.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and excellent communication skills.
  • Good manual dexterity, meticulous attention to detail, and an ability to learn new operations.
  • Prior lab equipment experience or background in chemistry/biology a plus.
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or eligible for export control license per regulations.

Job Description

This position works M-F, with a flexible 1st shift schedule/hours.

Job Summary

Operate equipment used to manufacture detection products. Weigh, measure and check raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities. Maintain inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing. Keep accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process. Perform in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications. Recognize equipment and product problems, notify supervisor and/or troubleshoot errors in order to achieve optimum production levels. Must be able to follow written Standard Operating Procedures and verbal instructions in order to fabricate, inspect, and package chemical-based products. Good organizational skills and relevant computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) are required for maintaining production records. The ability to safely handle lab equipment/tools and chemicals is required.
