Job summary

P&C Recruiting | H.R. seeks a Process General Supervisor to oversee Process Operations in a mining setting, driving metallurgical performance and mentoring a team of supervisors and operators.

You will provide technical guidance, lead cross-functional coordination with maintenance, electrical, mining, and processing departments, and develop SOP-based training while monitoring production and safety metrics to improve plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive mineral processing experience
• Experience supervising crews and shift supervisors
• Experience with heap leach, refinery, and crushing operations
• Strong planning and accountability skills
• Proficient in budgeting and forecasting for mining operations

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot operational deficiencies, implementing corrective actions where needed
• Lead and mentor process supervisors and operators on best practices related to all process operations activities
• Develop and track performance goals and development plans for direct reports
• Design, implement, and deliver training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for process operations
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with fixed and mobile maintenance, electrical, mining, crushing, and other processing departments
• Actively participate in daily operations to ensure safe, compliant, and effective work practices
• Monitor and analyze metallurgical performance, recommending improvements to enhance plant efficiency
• Review monthly production and cost data, identifying and explaining budget variances

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Process General Supervisor to oversee Process Operations. This leadership role is critical in supporting day-to-day plant operations, optimizing metallurgical performance, and mentoring a team of supervisors and operators. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, performance-driven environment while contributing to the success of the mine.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to process operations to ensure stable and efficient production.
• Identify and troubleshoot operational deficiencies, implementing corrective actions where needed.
• Lead and mentor process supervisors and operators on best practices related to all process operations activities

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Metallurgical, Mineral Processing, or Chemical engineering preferred but not required
• 5+ years of progressive experience in mineral processing within the mining industry, including team leadership.
• Practical and applied experience with heap leach, refinery, and crushing operations.
• Experience in supervising crews and shift supervisors, with a focus on team development and accountability.
• Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across large, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Skilled in short and long-range planning for heap leach operations.
• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting related to mining operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, and Access.
• Comfortable operating and troubleshooting computerized systems.
