Job summary

Vulcan Elements seeks an Analysis Engineer – Process Modeling in Durham, NC, to develop physics-based simulations for their rare-earth magnet manufacturing processes. Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience building and validating process models using ANSYS or COMSOL.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB for data processing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple modeling efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Model thermal conditions during manufacturing processes such as sintering and casting.
  • Create models for manufacturing processes including fluid dynamics and electromagnetic phenomena.
  • Document modeling assumptions, boundary conditions, and validation results.
