Qualifications

• Journeyman level in process mechanical systems.
• Experience with piping materials: steel/carbon, copper, PVC/PCV, poly, stainless, aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of safety guidelines and procedures; safety is the top priority.
• Knowledge of piping material applications and layouts.
• Perform tasks under direct supervision and coordinate within defined responsibilities.
• Contribute to a team under supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
• Mentor apprentices and promote a positive learning environment.
• Perform testing, inspecting and recording; maintain tools and equipment in serviceable condition.
• Install systems per code, specs, submittals, and contract documents.
• Provide input to maintain current As-Built drawings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Encompasses all Helper III Roles and Responsibilities as well as the following:
• Demonstrates understanding of McCarthy Safety Guidelines and Procedures. Safety is their top priority.
• Comprehensive knowledge of multiple Piping material applications: Steel/carbon pipe, Copper Pipe, PVC/PCV pipe, Poly Pipe, Stainless Steel pipe and Aluminum pipe, including piping layout.
• Receives direct supervision and performs technical responsibilities.
• Coordinates own tasks with a specific range of responsibilities under established procedures.
• Contributes to a team under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
• Skilled specialist that demonstrates reliable judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations.
• Promote a positive learning environment in mentoring and directing apprentices.
• Perform testing, inspecting, and recording.Maintain all tools and equipment in serviceable condition.
• Use materials and other resources conservatively to promote project success and profitability.
• Install all systems and products per code, specifications, submittals, and contract documents.
• Provide applicable input promptly to maintain current As-Built record drawings
