Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking skilled Laborers for a project in Galveston, TX. The Laborer will support carpenters and other trades by handling site logistics, installing safety measures, and assisting with day-to-day construction tasks.

Responsibilities include organizing work, completing safety certifications, and using a range of hand and power tools. Night shifts may be required; punctual attendance and reliability are essential for success in a busy on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a laborer in commercial construction projects.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site.

• Assist with project logistics (clean up, material storage, water pumping etc.).
• Support project team in construction and installation of safety measures.
• Actively participate in Task Hazard Analysis (THA).
• Work in an organized manner.
• Complete certification courses (spotter, flagger, OSHA 10, fire watch etc.).
• Utilize common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, water pump, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, etc.).
• Assist other trades when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with project logistics (clean up, material storage, water pumping etc.)
• Support project team in construction and installation of safety measures

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Abilityto performheavy lifting/pushing/pulling of materialweighing 50 pounds
• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces
• Minimum age 18+
• Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization
