Job summary

Kodak Alaris Colorado is seeking a Maintenance Process Mechanic to support a Thermal Media Manufacturing operation with two coating machines, seven finishing slitters, and site maintenance.

You will perform electrical installations, preventive maintenance, and support engineering and operations; requires 2+ years in automated equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in automated equipment maintenance.
• Analytical troubleshooting skills leading to root cause.
• Ability to work under pressure, initiative and safe work practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills in a team environment.
• Experience in Chemical Mixing, Delivery, and Coating operations.
• Electrical/Electronic/Machine controls: pumps, control valves, web conveyance.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical (motors/ PLCs /drives).

Responsibilities

• Work Schedule – 5 1/2-day, 12 hour rotating shift.
• Responsible for new electrical installations, and maintenance of existing electrical systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance across Thermal Media MFG areas.
• Complete PMs, work shutdowns, generate/update procedures and prints, order and repair spare parts.
• Support engineering and operations as needed.
• Perform installation tasks and light fabrication as required.

Position Summary

Maintenance process mechanic position supporting a Thermal Media Manufacturing operation consisting of 2 coating machines, 7 finishing slitters, and building/site maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work Schedule – 5 1/2-day, 12 hour rotating shift.
• Responsible for new electrical installations, and maintenance of existing electrical systems.
• Perform demand maintenance in all areas of Thermal Media MFG.
• Complete PMs, work shutdowns, generate/update procedures and prints, order and repair spare parts.
• Support engineering and operations as needed.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance tasks, project (installation) tasks, and light fabrication tasks.

Skills And/Or Knowledge Specifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in automated equipment maintenance.
• Possess analytical trouble shooting skills driving to root cause of issues.
• Work effectively under pressure, display initiative and work safely.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills to work in and contribute to an integrated operations/maintenance/staff team environment.
• Experience in Chemical Mixing, Delivery, and Coating operations.
• Electrical/Electronic/Machine controls: pumps, Control valves, Web conveyance.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical (motors/ PLCs /drives).

Desired Knowledge Specifications

• Experience with AB PLC's, PLC 5, Control Logix.
• Basic Machine Shop Skills: mill, lathe, surface Grinder.
• Basic Sheet Metal Fabrication: sheer, brake.
• Problem solving/troubleshooting skills and abilities.
• Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Aptitude to learn quickly.
• Ability to take initiative and work with minimal guidance.

Education And/Or Experience Specifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Pay: $24-$30 Based on experience
