Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Worker

Under general supervision, performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and processing work, including manual labor, at the Resource Recovery Plant.

This position requires rotating shifts from days to overnights:

• DAY: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
• NIGHT: Sunday through Wednesday, 9:10 pm to 7:40 am

Effective July 2025, the pay range for Process Maintenance Worker is as follows:

• Step A: $25.31 (starting)
• Step B: $26.53 (6 months)
• Step C: $27.99 (12 months)
• Step D: $28.96 (18 months)
• Step E: $30.18 (24 months)
• Step F: $31.43 (36 months)
• Step G: $32.64 (48 months)

Career progression opportunities include training for Maintenance Technician I and II positions, with skill-based pay plans:

• Maintenance Technician I: $31.25 - $33.63 per hour
• Maintenance Technician II: $36.60 - $37.78 per hour

Essential Job Functions

• Operate trucks, tractors, forklifts, end loaders, and other motorized equipment with various attachments.
• Monitor and maintain shredders and conveyors.
• Fabricate equipment for maintenance or construction projects.
• May act as a lead worker for a maintenance team.
• Estimate parts and materials needed for projects.
• Read and interpret electric test equipment, vibration meters, blueprints, manuals, and SDS sheets.
• Assist higher-level staff with electrical systems when de-energized.
• Perform repairs to equipment and general maintenance activities.
• Load and unload materials manually or using lift equipment.
• Maintain records related to equipment and materials.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
