Tate & Lyle is seeking a hands-on lab technician to operate process and lab equipment safely in our Hoffman Estates Innovation Center. You will support scientist pilot work, maintain equipment and sanitation records, and participate in safety analyses. Exceptional teamwork and knowledge of food safety are required.
The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to coordinate with our Applications and Tech Service group to keep labs running smoothly.
The primary responsibility of this position is the independent and safe operation of equipment in the food process labs and facilitation of scientist pilot work. This person must have a strong understanding of Food GMPs and good organizational and communication skills. This position will help with process troubleshooting and developing corrective action plans as needed. Additionally, they will play a key role on our local safety team supporting JSAs, and food safety processes and documentation. This position will be located in the Hoffman Estates, IL Innovation Center.
