Job summary

Nokia in San Jose, CA seeks a Process Integration Engineer to ensure high quality InP-based PIC products through experiments and data analysis. You will help bring up our high-volume fab in San Jose and collaborate with multiple teams to improve wafer fabrication processes and yield reliability.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, data analysis, and process optimization to support next-generation PIC platforms while maintaining quality systems and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a modern semiconductor fab
• Understanding of semiconductor processes and device physics
• Familiarity with SPC methods

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot performance and yield issues in the wafer fab
• Root cause analysis for lots on hold
• Support engineers with failure analysis (visual inspections, IV sweeps, profilometer)
• Use MES to collect data, perform basic data analysis, generate reports
• Review SPC charts and respond to out-of-control events
• Coordinate and track lots through fab, assembly, and test
• Manage PIC wafer quality and yield based on data and device physics
• Resolve process deviations and test failures through data history
• Establish and maintain inline FAB process specifications
• Support Process Engineering to improve stability and capability
• Assist Operations to improve throughput and cycle time
• Support next-gen PIC platform development and ramp activities
• Ensure compliance with PIC product quality system
