Job Description:

Intel Chandler, Arizona Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) is part of Intel Foundry's Manufacturing and Supply Chain group (FMSC) and is responsible for the high-volume production of Intel silicon using the world's most advanced manufacturing processes. As part of Intel's Integrated Device Manufacturer 2.0 (IDM2.0) strategy with Foundry Capability, Intel Chandler, Arizona site is building new fabs for the latest technology nodes including Intel 18A and beyond. This exciting transformation at Intel needs talented candidates with Yield Failure Analysis experience in Foundry to service local and global customers. Intel's Foundry Technology Development Yield organization is seeking a Yield Development Engineering Manager who is passionate, innovative, and results-oriented with experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and systems.

The individual will be expected to oversee teams who develop, implement, optimize, maintain, and document procedures for metrology equipment used for development and manufacturing for foundry customers. The engineering manager will work closely with equipment development, operations, automation, and manufacturing collaborators to provide quality end-to-end foundry solutions.

The candidate should be excited to work in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and adaptability is key to their success. The ability to learn rapidly in a complex and rapidly changing environment and to communicate effectively with reports and co-workers and across teams is a must.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop milestones, timelines, and requirements for complex programs.
  • Manage customer expectations, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Both contribute technically and manage engineering team(s) contributing to the following areas.
  • Perform statistical analysis, develop visualizations and presentations to construct accurate process development roadmaps that drive technology yield milestones.
  • Develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse big data sources, establishing optimal methodologies for defect mode understanding and yield modeling, leading to accurate yield Pareto construction and process roadmap definition.
  • Organize, interpret, and structure insights from fab process, defect, and electrical data and detect data anomalies and drive process changes for yield enhancement.
  • Extract insights from structured and unstructured data by quickly synthesizing large volumes of data, and applying statistics, machine learning, and coding techniques.
  • Develop systems to transform complex experimental and manufacturing data into yield improvement actions using knowledge of product design and test features.
  • Develop tools, multivariate algorithms, and methodologies to perform high volume data analysis to identify root cause yield limiters and identify key process changes to advance yield improvement.
  • Develop computational tools and AI/ML applications that improve patterning solutions, decrease process debug time, improve design efficiency, and bridge the gap between design and manufacturing.
  • Work will span solution exploration, technical design, implementation, deployment in a production environment, and maintenance of the deployed solutions.
  • Create innovative solutions to problems, collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity, implement custom algorithms to perform feature engineering, develop efficient software solutions that meet computing constraints, and ensure code quality to enable deployment in a production environment.
  • Develop initial solution ideas and find an implementation path towards a robust and efficient software product that can be used in the production environment.
  • Assist the team in debugging software-related issues in the production environment, occasionally providing off-hour urgent support.

Key Soft Skills:

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and the impact of data quality initiatives to diverse audiences.
  • High collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams and with external partners.
