Job summary

Cardinal Health in Deland, FL is seeking a Machine Operator (Process Inspector) for 1st shift to operate production lines, sample and inspect materials, and ensure compliance with FDA, GMPs and ISO13485 standards. You will monitor quality, record data, and release only acceptable materials for the next steps.

The role requires precise measurement using micrometers and gauges, adherence to SOPs, lean principles, and teamwork to support continuous improvement and shift efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience and/or training preferred.
• Capable of following standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product utilizing established test methods and gages and initiate corrective action with supervisor, department technical resources, and quality assurance inspectors.
• Perform sampling and inspection of product per department and plant procedures.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of production from assigned machines.
• Monitor machinery and processes during shift and request department technical assistance; adjust as needed.
• Record production data into information systems.
• Must be proficient with measuring equipment such as micrometers and gauges.
• Understand lean system and Kanban tickets and locate them correctly.
• Assist/perform changeovers as required.
