MultiCare Health System is seeking a Process Improvement RN Program Manager at Good Samaritan Hospital in Washington. This role leads facility or unit-level initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, patient safety, and outcomes, coaching teams and mentoring staff in ID-PDSA methodologies.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze workflow data, design scalable strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality goals while modelling MultiCare values.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Washington State or Multistate License Endorsement required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience practicing in a clinical setting.
  • Minimum two years leading or coaching process improvement.
  • Minimum five years of experience in clinical care, quality, performance improvement, project/program management or any combination of these areas.

Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert on process improvement methodologies and tools, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the enterprise.
  • Assist with data analysis, benchmarking, and documenting workflows by analyzing business and clinical processes.

  • Facilitate and coach teams in the use of the MHS process improvement methodology (ID-PDSA) to drive progress and impacts.

  • Plan and implement scalable strategies facility or CBU wide and assist with enterprise-wide scalable initiatives.

Position Summary

The Process Improvement RN Prog Mgr leads facility or CBU level initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, patient safety, and outcomes in a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include educating, coaching, and mentoring process improvement for MHS employees; designing and executing facility or CBU level improvement strategies; assisting with data analysis, conducting workflow assessments; and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions. This role facilitates the use of process improvement methodologies and supports compliance with regulatory requirements and quality goals. Candidates must have clinical experience, experience in quality, process improvement, and data analysis. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to coach teams, handle challenging conversations, role model MHS values

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for optimizing workflows, enhancing efficiency, implementing safe and appropriate simplification strategies, reducing errors, eliminating obstacles, and achieving improved outcomes.
  • Facilitate and coach teams in the use of the MHS process improvement methodology (ID-PDSA) using process improvement and project management skills to drive and track progress and impacts.
  • Deliver training/curriculum, and coach MHS employees on process improvement principles, tools, simple project management, data analysis and visualization, daily management, standard work, and change management.
  • Plan and implement scalable strategies facility or CBU wide. Assist with enterprise-wide scalable initiatives and strategies.
Requirements:
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Washington State or Multistate License Endorsement required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience practicing in a clinical setting.
  • Minimum of two (2) years leading or coaching process improvement.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical care, quality, performance improvement, project/program management or any combination of these areas; or minimum requirements for clinical experience and process improvement with a Bachelor's in a healthcare-related field.
  • Consideration given to internal candidates not meeting all minimum requirements.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $109,262.40 - $194,251.20 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
