Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to lead a high-impact process improvement initiative focused on optimizing the flow of information from time capture through billing and revenue operations. This role will partner with finance, operations, systems, and project stakeholders to assess current workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency, controls, and business performance.

This is a hands-on consulting engagement requiring a balance of process design, stakeholder management, change leadership, and implementation support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and document current-state workflows, including process dependencies, handoffs, manual activities, exceptions, and control gaps.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions to identify root causes of operational inefficiencies and recurring process issues.

  • Develop practical implementation roadmaps that include key decisions, milestones, accountabilities, dependencies, and change-management considerations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate data transformation and reporting processes.
  • Establish sustainable approaches for managing exceptions, corrections, and process governance.
  • Evaluate cross-functional dependencies impacting financial operations and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to define requirements and coordinate solution implementation.
  • Create documentation, training materials, and knowledge-transfer plans to ensure long-term process ownership.
  • Support the adoption of new processes and help drive organizational change across impacted teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in business process improvement, finance transformation, operational excellence, or management consulting.
  • Experience leading cross-functional process redesign initiatives from assessment through implementation.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash, Accounts Receivable, billing operations, and related finance functions.
  • Ability to work effectively with finance, operations, technology, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience developing process maps, future-state workflows, governance frameworks, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and change-management skills.
  • Experience working within ERP and business systems environments.
  • Ability to identify practical solutions and drive measurable operational improvements.
Preferred Experience
  • Finance transformation or shared services environments.
  • ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems.
  • Revenue operations, project-based billing, professional services, or complex billing environments.
  • Continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
What Success Looks Like
  • Faster and more reliable operational processes.
  • Reduced manual effort and fewer exception-driven activities.
  • Improved controls, process ownership, and accountability.
  • Clear documentation and sustainable knowledge transfer.
