Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions is seeking a Process HVAC and Containment Lead to oversee design strategies for environmental control, containment, and cleanroom classifications within major capital projects. You will guide HVAC/Containment teams to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing reliability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 10 years of HVAC/Containment experience, with strong knowledge of code requirements and project coordination

Process HVAC and Containment Lead

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world‑class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high‑end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimise planned and operating assets.

KBR is seeking a Process HVAC / Containment Lead to oversee design strategies associated with environmental control systems, pressurisation schemes, contamination control, cleanroom classifications, and containment requirements. This role ensures facility environmental systems support product protection, personnel safety, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing reliability.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Ensure HVAC designs, equipment selections, and operational strategies support manufacturing requirements, containment requirements, regulatory expectations, and startup readiness. Serve as the primary engineering advisor for HVAC/Containment systems. Oversee design and engineering team responsible for meeting the project requirements in this area, including but not limited to day‑to‑day oversight and participation in design reviews.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience with HVAC/Containment systems design and engineering. Strong knowledge of engineering, design, constructability, operability, and maintainability best practices and code requirements for these systems. Experience successfully coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and design activities for capital projects in excess of $500M TIC.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP‑regulated facilities. Prior experience in an Owner’s Representative or PMC role for major capital projects in excess of $1B TIC. Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, and startup activities. Professional Engineer (PE) license.
