Job summary

KBR is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to act as the day-to-day engineering integrator, coordinating across disciplines and managing interfaces with PMC workstreams. The role supports schedule management and change control while ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.

The position requires a senior engineer with broad expertise in design execution, project delivery, and multidisciplinary team leadership for large-capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering or project engineering experience.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams for capital projects > $500M TIC.

Lead Project Engineer

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to function as the day-to-day engineering integrator, coordinating activities across engineering disciplines and managing interfaces with other PMC workstreams. This role will support schedule management, technical issue resolution, change management, and engineering communication processes while ensuring that engineering execution remains aligned with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Functional job responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines.
• Manage engineering interfaces with PMC workstreams and stakeholders.
• Support schedule management, change control, and technical issue resolution.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering or project engineering experience.
• Experience successfully coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams for capital projects in excess of $500M TIC.
• Strong understanding of design execution, project delivery, and change management.
• Experience supporting project planning and schedule management activities.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills

• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP-regulated facilities.
• Prior experience within PMC or Owner’s Representative organizations for capital projects in excess of $1B TIC.
• Knowledge of project controls and risk management processes.
• Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities.
• PE license or PMP certification.
