Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited seeks a Process Generalist to support onsite process operations, ensuring clear communication of production goals and standards to teams and partners.

Responsibilities include maintaining quality and safety, driving Lean principles, mentoring technicians, and coordinating with Planning, Forecasting, and Operations to align production. Domestic relocation may be offered, with a focus on meeting site KPIs and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Set and maintain quality and production standards, and act as conduit for feedback, compliance, production schedule, and adjustments between support teams and sites/external partners.
Support safe and timely delivery of quality supply based on production schedules while maintaining efficiency.
Support site KPIs including Safety, Quality, TIP, TOP, and cost efficiency.
Maintain strong relationships with the onsite unit and squads.
Function as a conduit with other sites and off-site support personnel to resolve production challenges.
Adapt quickly to changes in business and take on new challenges.
Ensure highest level of quality, compliance, and safety in all activities.
Provide timely technical support to ensure best customer experience.
Mentor less experienced production technicians and coach employees across the site on basic operations and quality standards.
Support areas by championing Lean Manufacturing principles.
Initiate periodic communication with Planning, Forecasting, and Operations for alignment across production teams.
Support development and sharing of KPI information on visual boards to drive teamwork and product quality.
Drive a company vehicle (pooled or assigned) and may drive significant annual mileage.

Process Generalist

The Process Generalist supports and enables all onsite process operations using inputs from internal and external resources to ensure the site personnel have a clear understanding of the production goals, materials, standards, objectives required to meet the needs of upstream and downstream customers.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

Set and maintain quality and production standards, and function as the conduit for all feedback, compliance, production schedule, and adjustment from support teams to the sites and back out to external partners;
Support the safe and timely delivery of quality supply based on production schedules while maintaining an efficient operation;
Perform duties in a manner that support overall site Key Metrics to include Safety, Quality, TIP (total individual volume performance), TOP (total overall volume performance), and cost efficiency;
Maintain a strong relationship with the onsite unit and squads;
Function as a conduit with other sites and off-site support personnel to anticipate and resolve production challenges;
Adapt quickly to changes in business, courageously face new challenges and opportunities;
Ensure the highest level of quality, compliance, and safety achieved in all activities;
Provide timely technical support where needed to ensure the best customer experience possible;
Mentor less experienced production technicians and coach employees across the site on basic operations and quality standards;
Support areas by championing Lean Manufacturing principles;
Initiate periodic communication with Planning, Forecasting, and Operations to ensure alignment across all production teams;
Support the development and sharing of all relevant Key Performance Indicators and other relevant information on visual boards and networks to drive teamwork and ensure the highest level of product quality to enhance Customer Experience;
Drive a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties - regardless of mileage.

Who You Are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED;
Prior experience in manufacturing operations, technical support, or safety;
Valid Driver’s license and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening);
Ability to follow policies and procedures;
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed);
Ability to work weekends and overtime during peak seasons.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a preferred discipline: Business, Engineering, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Manufacturing with 4 years of relevant experience; OR
High School Diploma and 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations, technical support, or safety;
Experience in lean manufacturing systems;
Demonstration of courage, candor, and initiative in past assignments;
Knowledge in seed production and seed quality standards.

Compensation and Benefits

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $83,280.00 to $124,920.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
