Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Process Engineering Technician I to join our Manufacturing Operations team in Nampa, Idaho. You will provide hands-on technical support to production, clarifying process specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing outcomes.

A typical day includes measuring yield and efficiency improvements, documenting procedures, procuring tools, and training operators, while applying SEL values and World Class Manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment relevant to the role.
• Basic computer skills including Windows-based tools (Excel, Word, SQL).
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in measuring and improving yield, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Document, modify, and maintain manufacturing procedures.
• Manage the procurement of assembly process tools.
• Train operators and support staff as needed.
