Henkel United States is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in a batch chemical manufacturing environment. You will collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve process efficiency, quality, and plant performance.

The role emphasizes data analysis, Excel/PowerPoint proficiency, and exposure to SAP. The internship runs May 24th–August 13th, with ongoing feedback and networking opportunities across Henkel interns nationwide.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate student graduating in 2027 or 2028 pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and visualize complex datasets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• SAP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience supporting process engineering activities within a batch chemical manufacturing environment.
• Partner with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve process efficiency, product quality, and plant performance.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve yield, minimize downtime, and increase throughput.
• Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions for process-related challenges.
• Support the planning and execution of continuous improvement and capital projects while maintaining compliance with Henkel safety, environmental, and quality standards.
