Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Process Engineer for the Prosperity Plywood mill in South Carolina. You will enhance operational efficiency while prioritising safety in a batch manufacturing environment within our PBM framework.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Process Engineer or similar role.
• Strong data analytics and statistics skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply Principle-Based Management to make sound decisions and pursue opportunities that create value.
• Develop understanding of mill processes, variables, and reliability plans to identify throughput and downtime improvements.
• Ensure effective handling of combustible dust hazards and oversee fire systems as needed.
• Lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives, conduct audits, risk assessments, and training.
• Manage process and production data quality, reporting, and analysis using business systems.
• Plan and execute trials using Design of Experiments and other analytic methods; communicate results and sustain performance gains.
• Lead cross-functional improvement teams and perform root-cause analyses to prevent repeat failures.
