Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer for a growing wire harness manufacturing operation. Take ownership of processes, equipment, and technology behind the production line to improve performance and meet customer programs on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has direct wire harness manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and practical problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of engineering or senior-level technical experience within wire harness manufacturing, or a closely related manufacturing environment.
• Experience programming harness testers and troubleshooting machine logic, function blocks, and related production technology.
• Four-year engineering degree is preferred but not required, with relevant industry experience valued heavily.

Responsibilities

• Support, troubleshoot, and continuously improve wire harness manufacturing processes and production equipment
• Work hands-on with automated wire cutters, strippers, crimpers, welding equipment, bench press machines, and harness testing systems
• Program harness testers, troubleshoot machine logic, and modify function blocks or equipment logic as needed
• Identify opportunities to improve throughput, efficiency, equipment performance, and overall manufacturing capacity
• Partner closely with production supervisors, operators, purchasing, and leadership to resolve technical and process-related challenges
• Support the introduction of new harnesses, custom orders, and customer programs into the manufacturing operation
• Develop a deep understanding of shop-floor equipment and processes to provide practical, timely technical support
