Process Engineer - Trim
Shaw Industries is seeking a Process Engineer to support our Trims and Samples operation by identifying opportunities, developing innovative solutions, and leading projects that improve productivity, quality, and customer responsiveness.
In this role, you'll partner closely with operations, engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams to optimize workflows, improve manufacturing performance, and support new product and process initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both strategic problem-solving and hands-on engagement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Partner with department leaders, supervisors, and associates to improve manufacturing processes, workflow efficiency, and overall operational performance.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop innovative solutions that increase productivity, quality, and speed to customer.
Lead cross-functional projects from concept through implementation, ensuring successful execution and measurable business results.
Support R&D and product development initiatives by evaluating processes, testing solutions, and implementing improvements.
Analyze manufacturing, capacity, and utilization data to identify bottlenecks and drive data-based decision making.
Evaluate product and material flow throughout the operation and recommend improvements that optimize throughput and efficiency.
Troubleshoot process, system, and workflow challenges while developing sustainable solutions.
Perform project and capital analysis, including cost savings calculations, ROI evaluation, and business case development.
Serve as a trusted technical resource for operations teams and help build alignment across multiple departments.
Innovates by challenging existing processes and identifying better ways to work.
Builds trusting relationships and collaborates effectively with associates, leaders, customers, and business partners.
Delivers compelling communication by presenting technical concepts and recommendations clearly to a variety of audiences.
Adapts to change and thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement.
Initiates action and takes ownership of projects, driving results from idea through implementation.
Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
Manufacturing, process engineering, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or operations experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Experience utilizing data and performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business analysis tools.
Strong communication and project leadership skills.
