    Therma, a Legence Company, is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing critical facilities for leading high-tech companies across industries like semiconductor, biotech, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. You will collaborate with clients, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and exceed customer expectations.

    Responsibilities
    • Develop and lead technical project plans, specifications, diagrams, and models.
    • Design systems involving high purity gases, sanitary piping, water and steam systems, and other process applications.
    • Coordinate with various design disciplines and internal teams for project needs.
    • Conduct field verifications, troubleshoot on-site issues, and integrate solutions into designs.
    • Lead or participate in multi-disciplinary design groups to produce construction documents compliant with codes and standards.
    • Perform engineering calculations, create process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and evaluate vendor data.
    • Mentor junior engineers and designers to foster growth and project success.
    • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to meet client requirements and project deadlines.
    • Provide process engineering input during construction and commissioning phases.
    Required Qualifications
    • Four-year degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering; 7+ years of relevant experience; licensure in CA preferred.
    • Experience with process and mechanical systems such as gas/liquid delivery, sanitary piping, and water/steam systems.
    • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
    • Proficiency in creating P&IDs and PFDs.
    • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office tools.
    • Resident of the San Francisco Bay Area with ability to commute to San Jose office.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in a design-build environment and the Life Sciences industry.
    • PE license or eligibility.
    • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software, pressure safety devices, and control valve sizing.
