TITLE: Process Engineer

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Cuisine Solutions

POSITION REPORT TO: Engineering Director

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Food Process Engineer is responsible for working on future process lines and optimizing new equipment and processes into our food processing factories in VA and TX.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' or more in Food Processing facility
• Strong knowledge of food safety requirements
• Strong curiosity on innovation, food processing and food product
• Ability to communicate easily with cross functional team
• Comfortable performing in a fast-pace environment, with an ability to establish priorities, multitask, manage workload, and work under pressure
  
  

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or Engineering or a related field
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
  
  

Job Responsibilities

• Research innovative process and equipment using conventional methods but also visiting professional equipment shows and vendors both in North America and Europe.
• Request quotes based on verified capacities from different vendors and verifies understanding and definition of the project. Compares received quotes based on multiple criteria (scope, price, delivery time, payment terms ...)
• Shares all necessary documentation with equipment procurement team
• Keeps in close contact with the selected vendor during project acting as a reference person representing Cuisine Solutions
• Keeps documentation updated in the engineering sharepoint.
• Participates to the FAT generally happening at the vendors to verify equipment compliance and functionalities
• Prepares all rigging and utilities surrounding the projects and manages dates and planning of the install/start up
• Facilitate bridging the gap between engineering and operation by informing all parties involved including QC
• Amongst other responsibility, he will identify bottlenecks or major improvement needs into current plants and suggest action plan for future remodeling including timing, investment level and payback.
• On occasions, may be a resource for support for the maintenance or operations team to facilitate communication with OEM
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
• Position requires travel to the different plants, suppliers and equipment shows including overseas.
