Job summary

Covestro, a world-leading supplier of high-tech polymer materials, is seeking a Process Engineer in Indiana to provide technical support to unit operations and help improve safety, efficiency, and plant profitability.

You will monitor operations, drive MOCs, contribute to PHA as part of the Covestro Engineering Standards, and support capital projects, DCS/SIS work, and operator training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with DCS, SIS, or PLC.
• Experience with Process Data Historians.

Responsibilities

• Monitor unit operations to identify deviations and support troubleshooting.
• Own and complete MOCs in a timely and well-documented manner.
• Provide process safety input to the MOC committee.
• Deliver operator training for process and PCT changes.
• Participate as a key member of the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) team.
• Support capital projects from planning to implementation.
• Assist with DCS project work and coordinate with third-party integrators.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities (yield, waste reduction, energy).
