Job summary

LSB Chemical L.L.C. is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical accountability for process behavior, operating envelopes, and safety compliance at our Cherokee, AL facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college.
• 2–10 years of related experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical manufacturing facility.
• Preferred背景 includes ammonia, urea, and/or ammonium nitrate plant experience, PSM familiarity.
• Knowledge of process troubleshooting, heat and material balance, data analysis, RCA, field troubleshooting, and operating procedure development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operating envelopes, safe operating limits, and process guidelines; define control philosophies and KPIs; monitor process health and capability.
• Monitor plant performance, investigate deviations, lead troubleshooting, and develop corrective actions.
• Lead alarm rationalization, reduce nuisance alarms, and improve control performance with Operations.
• Lead process-related root cause investigations and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership during safety reviews and ensure compliance with process safety information.
