The Team

Black & Veatch Process Engineers develop technical solutions that are critical to winning work and drive design deliverables for critical infrastructure projects with community benefits. Our Team of over 200 process engineers supports water, wastewater, industrial, next generation agriculture, LNG, hydrogen, fertilizer, and carbon capture businesses among others.

The Opportunity

As Western Region Biosolids Practice Lead in our process engineering team you will be acting in a ‘seller-doer’ role, working with an established team of client directors in our water utilities sector and leveraging the strength of our existing team of biosolids process engineering team to drive growth in our biosolids practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staying current on industry trends and client needs to inform growth strategies.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategy and growth initiatives.
  • Participating in thought leadership activities to build the BV brand as industry leaders in the implementation of tailored treatment solutions.
  • Playing a vital role in business development activities, including pursuit strategy, prepositioning activities, proposal development, and project interviews.
  • Serving as technical advisor to design teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle of planning, design, construction, startup and commissioning, and operations.
  • Driving joint accountability for project execution and safety performance.
  • Mentoring and supervising team members to build best-in-class capabilities.
  • Building technical bench strength through staff development and recruiting.
  • Serving as technology leader, recognized as a company and industry expert in residuals and biosolids.
  • Developing innovative solutions critical to company success.
Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized accredited program.
  • Minimum of 15 years related work experience.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
Certifications

Professional registration or license in home country or country of residence (or active pursuit of such licensure).

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards, and physical demands including lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.

Salary Plan

In accordance with local law, the following Annual compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $154,066.00 - $256,729.00
