Job summary

Keystone Engineering Inc. is seeking a seasoned Chemical Engineer to monitor plant performance, optimize processes, and support capital projects across multiple western US locations. The role requires strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and a track record of process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of relevant experience, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering (ABET-accredited), and be authorized to work in the U.S. A P.E.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 5–10 years of engineering-related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution-oriented.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
  • P.E. license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant operating performance and report on efficiency, yields, emissions, and process safety.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and generate recommendations to improve process equipment.
  • Provide process optimization, troubleshooting, data analysis, and technical support to operations.
  • Provide detailed engineering support and manage changes through the Management of Change process.
  • Evaluate and participate in the development of capital improvement projects to increase production capacity and energy efficiency.
  • Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, scopes of work, and equipment specifications for projects.
  • Review new operating procedures and conduct training for operations personnel.
  • Participate in PHAs, LOPA studies, and incident investigations.
  • Identify and implement EHS-related action items to meet schedule requirements.
