Job summary

Mativ New Berlin, WI is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize processes, drive methods improvements, and apply the Corporate Quality program to coating plant operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, polymer/plastic, or mechanical preferred).
• Entry level to 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience and data analysis ability required.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean and ISO standards is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good project management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, make recommendations, and improve processes in manufacturing systems.
• Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
• Recommend and develop equipment upgrades and product changes addressing quality issues and cost reductions.
• Partner with customers, sales, and operations to improve existing products and commercialize new processes.
• Improve process capability and production volume while upholding quality standards.
• Create part numbers and accurately build customer specifications through material and converting operations.
• Assess labor, material, and lead time to estimate costs for pricing, management, and new product launches.
