Job summary

CHS Inc. in Hallock, MN, is seeking an Experienced Process Engineer to provide technical support, drive continuous improvement, and deliver safe, reliable plant operations.

You will work on oilseed processing or related industries, manage projects under $1 million, and collaborate with an engineering team to optimize energy use and efficiency.

A Bachelor's in engineering and hands-on experience, plus PMP or Lean credentials, are preferred, with weekend work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering as listed.
• 2+ years in plant/process/project engineering in related industry such as biofuels or chemical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of plant construction and management of small to medium projects.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude in equipment troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of unit operations around oilseed processing.
• PMP Training or Certification.
• Lean training or certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan design/development projects with engineering docs, calculations, drawings, and schedules, focusing on efficiency and safety.
• Provide project management and supervision to construction crews and coordinate equipment selection.
• Coordinate communications among supervisors, engineering teams, and external consultants.
• Champion safety during design and construction phases and report violations to site EHS.
• Support plant utilities systems and participate in maintenance shutdowns as assigned.
• Develop and manage documentation for process/electrical equipment, flow diagrams, and P&IDs.
