Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS GA, Inc. seeks a Module Process Engineer in Cartersville, GA to drive process improvements on the line and support OE, JE, safety, and quality goals.

The role provides direction to shift and day process technicians, applies continuous improvement methodologies, and develops documentation such as PFMEA and control plans while partnering with safety, manufacturing, and quality teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in process engineering.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical approach.
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical college diploma.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implements methods for sampling, inspection, testing and evaluation of products.
• Initiates process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and defect analysis.
• Execute all required duties while practicing safe work methods and adhering to all plant safety rules.
• Be the driver in investigating, proposing, procuring and launching new process and operations improvements by developing specific metrics and conducting necessary audits.
• Assist development of technical training plan for process engineering and continuous improvement methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
• Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use. Train and deploy these in the plant.
• Actively participate with the EHS team to lead projects that improve worker's safety and minimize incident risk.
• Function as a change agent and systematically drive and implement change through cross-functional efforts between the safety, manufacturing, and quality resource.
• Develop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
• Develop and maintain regular reports consistent with departmental needs to track progress and drive action on plant improvements.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS GA, Inc.
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.

Module Process Engineer

Reports to: Process Manager

Location: Cartersville, GA

Classification: Salary Exempt

The Module Process Engineer must provide direction, guidance, and support to all the shift and day Process Technicians. The Process Engineer will apply continuous improvement methodology to enhance plant operations, supporting the specific plant goals in operational effectiveness (OE), job effectiveness (JE), safety and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implements methods for sampling, inspection, testing and evaluation of products.
• Initiates process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and defect analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical approach
• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ Years of relative experience
• Proven technical acumen
• Engineering degree or equivalent technical college diploma

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
• Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Q Cells
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to filter "Big Data" and interpret for data driven decision making.
• Extensive experience implementing new programs and data systems.
• Ability to utilize abstract reasoning techniques to build reporting logic and establish creative solutions to new problems.
• Ability to learn various software applications required for quality and performance reporting and analysis.
• The ability to work with ambiguous data sets and information, using people skills and intuition to navigate solutions.
