Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS is seeking a Process Engineer (Ingot) in Cartersville, GA. The role provides direction, guidance, and support to shift and day Process Technicians, applying continuous improvement methodology to enhance plant operations toward OE, JE, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, materials, electrical, chemical, or related engineering field.
• At least 3 years of process engineering experience.
• Experience in semiconductor or solar industrial settings preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software.
• Experience with CAD, Minitab, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement methods for sampling, inspection, testing, and evaluation of products.
• Initiate process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and defect analysis.
• Execute all required duties while practicing safe work methods and adhering to plant safety rules.
• Lead and drive new process improvements via cross-functional collaboration and audits.
• Assist in developing technical training plans for process engineering and continuous improvement methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
• Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use.
• Train and deploy these guides in the plant.
• Participate with the EHS team to improve worker safety and minimize incident risk.
• Function as a change agent and drive change across safety, manufacturing, and quality resources.
• Develop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
• Develop and maintain regular reports to track progress and drive actions on plant improvements.
• Adhere to Hanwha Q CELLS policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Be the driver in investigating, proposing,procuring, and launching new process and operations improvements (flexible automation and manual equipment) by developing specific metrics and conducting necessary audits.
• Assistin developing technical training plans for process engineering and continuous improvementmethodology(Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)
• Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use. Train and deploy these in the plant.
• Activelyparticipatewith the EHS team to lead projects that improve worker safety and minimize incident risk.
• Function as a change agent and systematicallydriveandimplementchange through cross-functional efforts between the safety, manufacturing, and quality resources.
• Develop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.
• Develop andmaintainregular reports consistent with departmental needs to track progress and drive action on plant improvements.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of HanwhaQcells.
• Perform other duties and specialprojects asassigned by management.

Requiredqualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, material, electrical, chemical, and other engineering
• 3+ years of process engineering experience
• Relevant experience within an industrial engineering environment (semiconductor, solar, etc.)
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Proficiencyin Engineering tools (CAD, Statics, Minitab, etc.)

Physical Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
• Ability tolift upto 50 pounds without restriction
• Ability to reach, push, pull, or lift asrequiredwithin limits set by Q Cells
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time
