Job summary

Hutchinson Industries, Inc. seeks a process/manufacturing engineer to evaluate existing processes, design new production methods, and implement cost-reducing, sustainable improvements.

You will collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize manufacturability, document workflows, and drive Lean techniques such as SMED, 5S, and single-piece flow. The role requires hands-on experience in process or manufacturing engineering, strong technical skills, and CAD knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Excellent technical skills and CAD proficiency.
• BS degree in Engineering preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and report hazards.
• Develop and implement systems to optimize production.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques – SMED, 5S, single-piece flow.
• Ensure documentation is up to date.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimize manufacturability.
