IAC Group in Port Huron is seeking a Process Engineer who reports to the Process Engineering Supervisor. You will initiate machine processes, adjust within tolerance, and analyze issues to improve efficiencies, with equipment such as Jenoptik laser cutting, waterjet, vacuum forming, robotics, and painting lines.

The role requires an Associate degree in a technical field and at least 5 years in automotive manufacturing, plus strong problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in engineering, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Excellent computer and communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Experience with urethane and robotics is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Initiate machine process, make adjustments within process tolerance and recommend changes for improved efficiencies.
• Continually monitor processes to ensure equipment runs at optimal efficiency (laser cutting, waterjet, vacform, robotics, etc.).
• Analyze and resolve process, equipment and tool issues.
• Assist setup/startup of new tools, equipment and resins for trials.
• Assist with setup/maintenance of other equipment.
• Troubleshoot with machine operators as required.
• Monitor product quality and ensure specifications are met.
• Ensure process parameters are followed and troubleshoot engineering/equipment issues.
• Work with limited supervision and maintain cooperation across shifts.
• Train and oversee Process Techs on each shift.
