Job summary

Ahlstrom seeks a Process Engineer for its De Pere, Wisconsin plant. You will help achieve safety, quality, and cost objectives on a paper machine process line, working closely with the Machine Manager and production teams to drive improvements in a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include leading operations, mentoring team members, and deploying Lean/Six Sigma tools to optimize production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Paper Science, Chemical, Electrical or related)
• Related experience preferred
• High safety awareness and focus on injury prevention
• Quality mindset with continuous improvement
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Project management and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving safety, productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost objectives of the process line
• Support Machine Manager in leading a paper machine process line
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiatives
• Provide training resources and equipment to team members
• Guide team members to foster growth and development
• Manage assigned projects to successful completion
• Provide technical support for product development trials
• Learn and deploy Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
• Lead investigations for safety, quality, or operations issues
• Follow manufacturing and hygiene processes to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards
