Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is seeking a Process Engineering Intern for summer 2027. The role focuses on assessing manufacturing processes to identify improvements in efficiency and site operations. Overtime is available as needed.

Ideal candidates study Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering and bring problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset. On-site position with exposure to high-volume production and process optimization.

Qualificações

• Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering emphasis.
• Interest in manufacturing processes and process optimization.
• Willingness to work in a hands-on internship environment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in developing new or modified process formulations.
• Define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications.
• Review processing techniques used in manufacture and evaluation of products.
• Support production engineering after transfer from design to high-volume production.
• Present end-of-year project findings.

Responsible for assessing manufacturing processes to identify methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of site operations.

Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.

What you will be doing:

• Assists in the development of new or modified process formulations

• Defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications

• Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of product line.

• Assists in handling production support engineering after transfer from design to high volume production.

• Will complete end of year project presentation.
