Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) in Nampa, Idaho, is seeking a Process Engineer for the Inspection System team. This role focuses on defining and supporting inspection technologies (SPI, AOI, AXI) across multiple factories and product families to improve quality and manufacturing reliability.

You will work with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to ensure robust inspection systems, with data-driven decision making and clear acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent, required.
• Two years of process development experience in a world class manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead cross functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Strong project management, written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of statistics applied to process capability measurements.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across multiple areas of manufacturing.
• Specify, develop, justify, implement, and sustain assembly equipment and materials.
• Improve quality, yield, efficiency, and capacity per strategic goals.
• Apply statistical problem solving to identify root causes.
• Evaluate new equipment, processes, and improvement initiatives.
• Interpret results and provide recommendations to management.
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices in assembly processes.
• Model, teach, and apply SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
